Things to do at the Bosnian Pyramids

The hills above Visoko, dominated by the cone-shaped Visocica, have been marketed since 2005 as the "Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun" by amateur archaeologist Semir Osmanagic. Bosnian and international archaeologists have dismissed the claim, and geologists classify Visocica as a natural landform.

What you can actually visit is the Ravne tunnel network, a few hundred metres of excavated galleries roughly 30 minutes' walk from central Visoko, on a guided tour of about 45 minutes for 10-15 KM. Visoko itself is 30 km and around 40 minutes from Sarajevo by road.

A path also climbs Visocica for a view over the Bosna valley, free of charge and without a guide.
