Things to do in Una National Park
Una National Park was established in 2008 around the Una River, known for turquoise, unusually clear water and rated among the Balkans' better whitewater destinations. The season runs May to September, when rafting and kayaking outfitters operate from Kulen Vakuf, the practical base inside the park.
This page covers the park as a whole, not a single feature: trails along the riverbanks, whitewater trips of varying grades, and the entry arrangements at the park gate. Strbacki buk, the park's best-known waterfall, and Martin Brod, the village and confluence downstream, each have their own detail on this site.
At roughly 300 km and over four hours' drive from Sarajevo, the park is a stretch for a day trip from the capital; most visitors coming from the west reach it more directly from Croatia.
