Things to do at Stari Most, the Old Bridge

Stari Most has stood over the Neretva twice: built in 1566, shelled and collapsed on 9 November 1993, then rebuilt stone for stone and reopened on 23 July 2004, followed by UNESCO World Heritage listing in 2005. Most visitors turn up expecting a scheduled dive from the parapet and leave disappointed.

The Mostari diving club members jump from roughly 21 metres, but only once they have collected enough from the crowd watching below — there is no fixed show time, and on a quiet day nobody jumps at all. If you want to see one, budget spare time and a few convertible marks for the collection rather than planning your visit around a timetable.
